I’m Michelle. Vegan food is my passion & blogging is my addiction, so that brings us to this site. Other than that, here are a few things you should know about me:
- I live in Chicago w/ my Omnivore boyfriend, a cat named Zooey, & two turtles named Sheldon & Bob.
- After several years as a cheese-addicted pescetarian, I went vegan in November of 2010. Ironically, that’s when I discovered my true love of food & started cooking for the first time in my life.
- I review things. If you would like your vegan product reviewed, please email me.
- I have a BA in theatre & perform a burlesque comedy show weekly @ Chicago’s Gorilla Tango Theatre. Check it out if you’re in town.
- I have an online degree in digital design. All icons, headers, backgrounds, & logos on this site are created and/or arranged by me. [That includes the t-shirt designs!]
- I am currently enrolled in The Institute for Integrative Nutrition & working towards my degree as a certified health coach. If you would be interested in receiving a FREE health history consultation or learning more about what a health coach does, please visit my Heath, Happiness, & Hula Hoops website for more information.

Like your blog and your toe-in-the-water veganism. I’m a third generation Chicagoan but I drove my Subaru to Seattle 20 years ago after I came to visit in February and there were primroses in bloom. My tiny dessert business Baked In Seattle has just added vegan fruit crumblepies in five flavors to our wholesale menu to honor my many vegan friends and family. We also have cool vegan merchandise with our double entendre name—-makes for a good vegan t-shirt!. Soon I’ll make a way to ship product and I’ll put you on the list!
Shaw,
That sounds amazing [especially your mixed berry crumblepie]! I’m a huge fan of desserts so anytime a company makes a vegan version of my old favorites, I’m totally down for a taste! Feel free to keep me posted on your progress and keep veganizing those yummy desserts.

Hello, Trish!
Thanks so much for checking out my blog! I’m excited that several classmates have already responded favorably to what I’m doing, it gives me confidence that I can continue adding to it as I grow in my nutrition knowledge.
Let me know if you ever need any vegan advice past dabbling, it’s my favorite topic to talk about!
Best of luck to you as well,
michelle
